Gmail backup
Mar. 4th, 2005 07:12 pmI now have 50 Gmail invites for every Gmail account. I think Google wants to take over the world. (I think everyone and his neighbour has one already, but comment below if you want one.)
One of the ways I use Gmail is for story backup - sure, backing up on a different harddisk is useful, but backing up to an email server in another country is more useful still, especially with 1Gb of space per email account. It occurs to me that with this ridiculous number of invites, I could set up a separate address for every longer story/novel/whatever and then email my updates to that address every day.
(This makes it sound as though I am working on ten novels at once. This is not in fact the case. But I live in hope.)
