This sounds like the dreams I have where I'm watching a really good episode of something and then wake up before it's finished. The early Cretaceous HtLJ episode, for example. Or the SGA/SG-1 episode with the gang fighting off an invasion of Earth in San Francisco, also with dinosaurs. I had another SGA one the other day that was really good, too.
